NL Passport Pop Up – Queensland

We are pleased to announce that the consular team of the Netherlands consulate-general in Sydney will be visiting Brisbane from the 6th till 16th of May 2025.

This is an announcement for Dutch citizens in (the vicinity of) Brisbane.
In addition to the pop-up passport desks in Brisbane earlier this year, the Dutch consulate-general in Sydney will now organise a passport pilot at the office of our external service provider VFS Global in Brisbane, from 6-16 May.
VFS Global has been the official outsourcing partner for consular services for the Kingdom of the Netherlands for many years.
Since 2019, Dutch citizens can apply for a Dutch passport/ID Card at the VFS office in Perth all year round. Since February 2022, Dutch citizens can also apply for a Dutch passport/ID card at the VFS office in Melbourne. We will now organise a pilot at VFS Brisbane from 6-16 May 2025.

VFS can only offer limited appointments during the pilot phase. Appointments may take longer than usual (45-60 minutes), as VFS staff will be simultaneously trained by staff of the Dutch consulate-general, assisting with the process.

Please note that on Friday 25 April VFS will be closed (public holiday). Emails addressed to VFS with a request for appointment assistance will therefore be answered from Monday 28 April onwards.
